Fireworks for New Year’s Eve in Athens 2023
Athens celebrated the most splendid night of the year with a spectacle of high aesthetics in Syntagma Square and a midnight party for everyone at the iconic Varvakeio Market.
Numerous, impressive fireworks illuminated the Athenian sky above the Acropolis, the Parliament, and Syntagma, creating a truly phantasmagorical spectacle. Early in the evening, Marios Fragoulis and Giorgos Perris, accompanied by a 10-member orchestra of skilled musicians and soloists, welcomed the new year with songs and melodies beloved by all. The hosts of the evening were Fotis Sergoulopoulos and Jenny Melita from ERT, who generously participated in the festive program of the Municipality of Athens.
